Why I started this

I have seen my own loved ones go through a cancer diagnosis. The biggest problem I noticed was how confusing everything becomes. Families are suddenly flooded with complex medical words and endless paperwork. It is very hard to think clearly when you are under that kind of stress.

I am a high school student who loves science and medicine. I am not a doctor, but I wanted to use my time to do the deep research that families are often too exhausted to do.

The Cancer Talk is my way of helping. I study common treatments and new therapies. Then, I rewrite the information in plain language so it is easy to understand. I also talk directly to doctors and researchers to bring you expert insights, and I organise information on financial aid and support schemes across India so it is all in one place.

My goal is to do the hard research for you. That way, you can focus completely on your health and your family.

My research process

To make sure everything on this website is correct and helpful, I follow four simple steps:

  • Using trusted sources: I gather facts directly from medical journals, official health websites, and trusted cancer research centres.

  • Simplifying the words: I rewrite complicated medical language into plain English so it is easy to read and understand.

  • Speaking with experts: I interview real doctors, healthcare professional, and survivors to bring you reliable insights from the front lines.

  • Checking for accuracy: I check my drafts with medical professionals to ensure the facts are correct, while keeping the language simple.
